Carrie Olson death: $4,000 reward for information - KMSP-TV http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/story/25240153/carrie-olson-death-reward#ixzz33EMpzp4d

Rob Larson and his K-9 Specialties search dogs went to the Davenport, Iowa area, working with local volunteers & logging many long, freezing hours, this past winter - to aid in the search for 29-year old Carrie Olson.

Carrie had been missing since the night of December 28th.

She was last seen around 4 p.m. on that Saturday at the 7-Eleven on 38th Street and 18th Avenue in Rock Island, according to her father Dave Olson.
He says a surveillance camera recorded her getting gas and wearing an Iowa Hawkeye sweatshirt.
But, since then "she hadn’t used her credit cards and so she hadn’t spent any money, and she hadn’t used her phone so we kind of suspected some sort of foul play,” Dave said.
There is now a $4000 reward for any information that leads to how Carrie died and apprehending those who led to her death. Please call Davenport Police 563-326-7979.

Carrie was 5’8″ and 190lbs with green eyes and sandy brown hair or brown hair with highlights.
Her dark grey Toyota Avalon and purse have been located, but not her white iPhone/black case or her small, black wallet which has the word "Love" inscribed in white embedded in it.
Olson's family hopes that someone in the Hastings area might have remembered seeing her car, a dark gray 2005 Toyota Avalon with Iowa license plate 088-PMK, in the hopes of providing more clues in what led to her tragic death.

Her iPhone sent a signal from Camden Park Saturday, Dec. 28th in Milan, Il.  Her family stated it may have been ditched there.

Her acquaintance Tim McVay was seen (on surveillance video) allegedly using her credit card & filling up her car with gas. at the 7-Eleven in Rock Island (38th Street), the next morning.  Carrie was no where in sight.
McVay reportedly drove to MN with the car, then flew to Las Vegas - without Carrie.

If you have any information as to the death of Carrie Olson, you are asked to get in touch with the

Davenport Police Department, Iowa
563-326-6125.

University of Chicago bio-chem student & rising-Senior Austin Hudson-LaPore went missing while watching a rare storm depart the Chicago area, on the night of June 12th, 2013.
Austin's family was unsure as to the direction their loved one had taken, that night. He left both his smart-phone and his wallet  behind on his kitchen table fearing they would get wet in the storm.
K-9 Specialties Rob Larson and his K9 Captain Dexter offered to track the missing man's footsteps and found they led directly to Promontory Point Park, on Chicago's South Side.
This allowed the Chicago authorities, media and Austin's family to concentrate their search for him, along the shores of Lake Michigan.
8 days after he disappeared,  Austin's body was found floating in the lake by a local fisherman who stayed with him until authorities could retrieve him.
In November, at a special memorial service at the University of Chicago's Rockefeller Chapel, Austin's family honored the 3 individuals & search organizations who helped bring Austin home.
Trainer Rob Larson and Captain Dexter of K9 Specialties were one of them.

In May, 2013, the residents of Maywood, IL presented an award  to K-9 Specialites Robert Larson, who took it upon himself to become a one man search team until he found the body of one-year-old Bryeon Hunter, with the help of his K9 search dogs Captain Dexter and Sergeant Duke.

Although it took one month of solid, daily searches - Larson discovered the child's remains in the Des Plaines River in North Riverside.

The boy's mother first said he'd been kidnapped, but then admitted she and her boyfriend beat him to death and dumped the body.

Cook County prosecutors say Lakesha Baker and her boyfriend, Michael Scott, have both pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.
Baker is being held without bond.  Scott is being held in lieu of $750,000 bond.
